Community Outreach

Annette SullivanThe 6th annual Water Cooler Classic fundraiser will take place in the fall of 2018!

50 Local businesses compete in in-house mini-golf tournaments all around the city in September and October and then send their best foursome to the finals on November 8th! This event provides a fun team-building activity for area businesses, allows GAPS to step into the community and share our mission, and enjoy an upscale event at ZEN! In 2017, we raised over $52,000 to support our local programs.

Would your business like to host a tournament at your office?  How about be one of the presenting sponsors, hole sponsors, or specialty sponsors?

More than $125,000 has been raised in the tournament’s first five years.

All money raised has remained in the local community, furthering the GAPS mission to maximize the quality of life for families affected by Parkinson’s Disease.

The 6th annual event will take place at Greenville-area businesses September through October. Teams of 4 play qualifying rounds in a 2-best ball format for the right to represent their business at the Finals on November 8th at Zen on the West End.

To host a qualifying tournament, businesses must commit to raising a minimum of $500. GAPS will provide each business with putting cups, tee markers, golf balls, and putters. The entry fee is $25 per player for in-office tournaments.

For smaller businesses, a foursome can be purchased at the Finals for $500.
The 2018 Water Cooler Classic will be limited to 50 teams, so reserve your tourney date today!

***You can also join with just a foursome if you have a small company or just want to participate with friends!

The Greenville Area Parkinson Society in partnership with the Greenville Drive held the 5th Annual Strike Out Parkinson’s walk at Fluor Field on April 14, 2018. The event is a celebration of what people living with Parkinson’s can do, and a forum for GAPS members, families affected by Parkinson’s, friends and neighbors to learn more about GAPS’ activities, and how funds raised are utilized LOCALLY. This year we raised over $83,000!

Thank you to everyone who participated!
