Community Events
Bringing Our Parkinson’s Community Together

At the Greenville Area Parkinson Society (GAPS), we believe that connection is an important part of living well with Parkinson’s. Throughout the year, GAPS hosts community events that bring together people with Parkinson’s, care partners, families, friends, volunteers, supporters, and the broader Upstate community.

From fundraising events and awareness walks to social gatherings and special activities, GAPS Community Events provide opportunities to connect, celebrate, raise awareness, and support families affected by Parkinson’s Disease.

More Than an Event—It’s a Community

GAPS events are designed to create meaningful opportunities for people to come together outside of regular programs and support groups. Whether you are living with Parkinson’s, caring for a loved one, volunteering your time, or simply want to support the GAPS mission, there is a place for you at GAPS.

Our community events help us:

  • Build connections and friendships

  • Raise awareness of Parkinson’s Disease throughout the Upstate

  • Support individuals and families affected by Parkinson’s

  • Raise critical funds to sustain and expand GAPS programs

  • Celebrate the accomplishments of our Parkinson’s community

  • Introduce new people to the resources and support available through GAPS

  • Bring businesses, community organizations, and individuals together around a shared mission
