GAPS Mentoring is a one-to-one, advisory relationship between a newly-diagnosed person/care partner and an existing GAPS member/care partner who has been living well with PD to offer advice and encouragement for the journey.

If you are a person with Parkinson's or a care partner and are interested in being a mentor to your peers, please call 864-905-2574 or use our Contact Page.

GAPS Recharged is a weekly opportunity where caregivers, spouses, friends, and family can drop-off their loved one every Wednesday between 10:30am - 1:30pm to participate in planned activities. A screening process is required to sign-up. To schedule a screening time, email Marla de Ruig at gapsrecharged@gmail.com or call 864-905-2574.

The GAPS Social reaches out to those members still active in the workforce and the community!  This monthly social night is a fun way for everyone to come and meet other active PD members, our board, volunteers, and staff.  Come join us and help us grow awareness, support, and commitment to the PD community in Greenville. Light appetizers, cash bar, and an opportunity to connect with the Greenville community!

GAPS SUPPORT GROUPS

Every week, GAPS facilitates local support groups for both the people with Parkinson’s and their care partners.  These are offered at different locations throughout the Upstate to accommodate members in all areas. These groups are a critical part of our community where members are able to share their challenges and triumphs as well as ask questions about symptoms, issues, and concerns from people who are walking a similar path. We encourage all members to find a group that suits their needs and plug in for encouragement and support.

Below is our schedule for GAPS Support Groups each month. These five locations have break out sessions for the people with Parkinson’s in one session and the caregivers in another session. View full calendar.
